Pet Awareness Wins

Petawarenesswins.com is an honor of my brother  who unexpectedly passed away on June 15, 2022.   He once mentioned to me “everything happens for a reason.”  Responsible Dog Ownership Day is today so I decided to launch my website on this special day. Sometimes I still can’t believe my brother is gone. When you lose someone suddenly it seems difficult to accept. I am keeping his memory alive by moving forward and taking this as a sign to take my next journey in life and to share the love and passion I have for animals.

I am here to tell you my story of how I was attacked two times in my life by two different dogs and with two different pets.

Let me first say, I am providing this information because I am choosing to make something positive out of a negative experience.

These traumatic events have affected me physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Every day we have the choice to move forward in life.  The experiences we have, whether they are good or bad, make us who we are as an individual.

I decided that I would title my blog  petawarenesswins.com because it is truly the meaning behind my entire heart ❤️ of my love for animals.

I will start by saying that the human animal bond can be a magnificent relationship if you open your heart to the very soul of your “true best friends “.

I was lucky because I am here to be able to voice my concerns about dog attacks.  So many people and animals are not.

I believe with all my heart that because I survived, I am going to do everything I can so people understand that dog attacks happen and we must, as owners, be aware of these issues and help to protect other humans and animals.

I have dedicated my career to helping people. I have been a social worker for over 24 years in the healthcare industry.  I have a passion for people and animals and to be able to combine these two together would make my life’s best work.

Living your best life to me means living a life that makes you happy and one that allows you to be at your ultimate potential.

I am finding my place and purpose. This is what I was meant to do.  I must make sure my story is told so others can learn from me, and I can help make a difference.
